'Damn, I can't see a thing!' Alex complained as he blinked his eyes a few times to get used to the dark.
'Oh come on, you're overreacting! Look how bright it is due to the moon! You couldn't be more lucky to ride in this condition during nighttime', Hazel said as she fixed the last braid that had gotten a bit loose during the warm-up. Here hands were a little bit stiff because she had been standing still for a long time and these last nights it had become pretty cold. Kalita was very calm compared to her normal behaviour during competitions, probably because she wasn't used to being awake during these hours. She waited for her rider to tell her what to do while in the meantime resting a little.
'Good luck!' Hazel said and let the two pass towards the show arena.
